One Month Later, Max Corrects the Credits for Writers, Directors, and Producers

The streamer has finally given (some) filmmakers the credit they deserve.

Right after Warner Bros. Discovery launched its hybrid streaming platform, Max, viewers started to notice that Max was crediting writers, directors, and producers as “creators” on the “details” page.

Max Communications reached out to No Film School a month ago setting that they will revise the credits to accurately acknowledge filmmakers. After five weeks of waiting, WBD has updated the “details” page on Max. According to Variety, the update will roll out throughout the week on all devices.

Many stood against Max’s consolidation of creative talent on projects to be a slap in the face to new and veterans in the industry. The Directors Guild of America and the Writers Guild of America slammed the “unilateral decision by Warner Bros. Discovery to change the long-standing individual credits of directors and writers in the new rollout of Max.”
