Razer announces new Blade 15 notebook with 240Hz OLED display, 12th-gen Intel CPUs

At CES 2022, Razer announced new Blade 14, 15 and 17 notebooks with an improved design, faster performance, upgraded displays and much more. Now, Razer has announced a new version of its Blade 15 laptop that includes a further-updated OLED display.

The upgraded model has a new OLED QHD 240Hz display that promises to be among the best laptop displays on the market. It’s the world’s first 240Hz OLED laptop. The display can reach up to 600 nits of brightness and offers 400 nits of sustained brightness, so it should perform well regarding HDR content. The screen supports 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. Adobe RGB coverage is currently unknown.

Aimed at gamers – and thus also suitable for creatives that demand good CPU and GPU performance – the new Razer Blade 15 will come equipped with Intel’s 12th generation Core i9-12900H processor and an NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti GPU. The computer will come with up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD. The notebook also has an extra M.2 slot for expanded storage.

Referring to our original coverage, the laptop includes a 1080p webcam, an SD card slot, and Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, USB-A and HDMI ports. The computer, which has an aluminum chassis, is as thin as 16.99mm (0.67″) and weighs slightly over 2kg (4.6 lbs.)

The new Razer Blade 15 with an OLED display will be available later this year, and it’ll start at around $3,500. It will offer similar configuration options as existing Razer Blade 15 notebooks, which you can check out on Razer’s website.
