According to Edwards, they used the current public perception of dinosaurs and the loss of magic for the story. <\/p>\n<p class=\"shortcode-media shortcode-media-youtube\"> <span class=\"rm-shortcode\" data-rm-shortcode-id=\"14ccc98e707b111bfafa73a07f8feec7\" style=\"display:block;position:relative;padding-top:56.25%;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"auto\" lazy-loadable=\"true\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jan5CFWs9ic?rel=0&amp;start=2\" style=\"position:absolute;top:0;left:0;width:100%;height:100%;\" width=\"100%\"><\/iframe><\/span> <small class=\"image-media media-caption\" placeholder=\"Add Photo Caption...\">&#8211; YouTube<\/small> <small class=\"image-media media-photo-credit\" placeholder=\"Add Photo Credit...\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jan5CFWs9ic&amp;t=2s\" target=\"_blank\">www.youtube.com<\/a> <\/small> <\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamesradar.com\/entertainment\/sci-fi-movies\/jurassic-world-rebirth-director-thinks-the-fact-that-people-arent-that-interested-in-dinosaurs-anymore-in-the-new-sequel-is-honest-and-a-good-reflection-of-where-we-are-with-cinema\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">GamesRadar<\/a>, director Gareth Edwards said, &#8220;There&#8217;s been many dinosaur films in terms of [<em>Jurassic Park<\/em> movies], and the audience, you&#8217;ve got to do something new and fresh to give them a reason to come see the movie,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And so by acknowledging that at the beginning and saying, &#8216;Look, audiences aren&#8217;t that interested in dinosaurs anymore,&#8217; I thought it was like, &#8216;Okay, well, this is an honest beginning. Let&#8217;s see where we go from here.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>That unique challenge brought up a great screenwriting and storytelling perspective.
