You\u2019ll give up a few niceties, and a lot of battery life, but it\u2019s another very solid option for the price.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re looking to save a little money, it\u2019s also worth considering the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dpreview.com\/reviews\/nikon-z5iic-review-capability-over-compactness\/\">Nikon Z5IIC<\/a><\/strong>, which is essentially the Z5II with its EVF lopped off. Unless size is your paramount concern, there aren\u2019t many reasons to go with it over the non-C version if they\u2019re close in price, but if it\u2019s substantially cheaper, it may be worth a look.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also considered <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dpreview.com\/reviews\/2862078074\/sony-a7-iii-review\/\">Sony\u2019s a7 III<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dpreview.com\/reviews\/9494401150\/sony-a7-iv-review\/\">a7 IV<\/a><\/strong>, the former of which retails for under $2000, with the latter routinely going on sale to around that price too. The a7 III is hard to recommend in 2026 with its less sophisticated autofocus, video and image stabilization, as well as clunky, dated menu design, though its images are still very good.. If you can find it on sale, the a7 IV is a solid pick. There aren\u2019t many other situations where spending an extra $100-200 will get you such a big upgrade.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-dpreview-product-roundup-content\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-dpreview-product-roundup-content__controls\">\n\t\t\tThe Z6III has an ample grip and easy-to-use control scheme. Nikon\u2019s menus and touchscreen layout are also well-refined, but the camera lacks the company\u2019s traditional AF mode button or front-corner switch.\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-pullquote wp-block-dpreview-product-roundup-content__pullquote\">\n\t\t\tThe Z6III is a genuine do-anything camera with excellent video and photo capabilities.\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-dpreview-product-roundup-content__performance\">\n\t\t\tAutofocus is generally reliable, and the camera includes Nikon\u2019s 3D-tracking system and plenty of subject recognition modes. Its autofocus isn\u2019t as good as the Sony\u2019s, but if you\u2019re a fan of aesthetics and shooting experience, we think the Fujifilm bests the Sony. However, the lens the X100VI shares with the X100V is not the fastest to autofocus; prioritizing sharpness over speed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re looking to make an investment in a camera with a ton of versatility, the X100VI doesn\u2019t compete with cameras that support dozens or hundreds of lenses.
